## 1.0.0-draft

First public draft.

- **12 families, 56 genres, 73 styles.** Club genres from ambient to uptempo hardcore, plus open
format (hip-hop, R&B, pop, Latin, Caribbean, African, country, rock, funk and soul, indie,
K-pop, South Asian, Arabic, jazz, gospel, classical, world) and DJ tools.
- **Every genre has** a definition, the genres it's often confused with, a crosswalk to Discogs,
MusicBrainz and Every Noise at Once, and a BPM range (except ambient, open format and tools).
- **Five energy levels**, rated relative to the track's own genre.
- **18 labels:** vocals (`#vocal`, `#inst`, `#acapella`), format (`#tool`, `#edit`), lyrics
  (`#clean`, `#explicit`) and decade (`#1920s` to `#2020s`).
- **One tag format:** `family code[.style][ En] name` in the Album field. Readers identify tags by
  code and ignore the name.
- **Families 01–09 run from the slowest typical tempo to the fastest**, so sorting by Album
  puts slower families first.
- **Permanent codes and family numbers.** Codes starting with X and families 90–99 are private.
